Winter Edition

Und ja, ist es passiert: wir haben Schnee. Sogar ziemlich viel davon. Was dann auch wieder zu einem Bild passt, was ich gemacht habe: Ich habe nämlich festgestellt, dass es im Winter einfach nicht mehr möglich ist, an anderen Stellen als "vorgeschrieben" über die Straße zu gehen. Ich meine, die Finnen halten sich eh schon ziemlich kleinlich an ihre Verkehrsregeln, aber im Winter geht es sogar gar nicht anders. Du kannst nicht mehr über die Straße gehen, wo du möchtest. NEIN, den dann hast du eine 2 Meter Schneewand vor dir, wo du einfach mal nicht unbeschadet drüber kommen kannst ohne völlig durchnässt und voller Schnee zu sein.
Ach ja, und wisst ihr, wie viele Leute hier ernsthaft noch Fahrrad fahren? Echt erstaunlich! Ich wurde das ja nicht mehr tun. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass diese Leute einfach eine Einstellung wie: "Ach komm ,das bisschen Schnee hier" haben.

And yes, it happened: we have snow! Really much of it indeed. What also fits again to one picture I took is the little story of today: I realzied that it is not possible in winter to just go over a street anymore. You have to use the "official" ways. I mean finnish people are already really petty with their traffic rules and everything but in winter it is just NOT possilbe. If you would go over the street where you want you would face a 2 meter snow wall on the other side of the road that you can't pass without getting wet and full of snow.
And do you know how many people still go by bike here? It's amazing! I wouln'd do that... I gues that they have just an attitude: "Oh come on, that little bit of snow..."

Also, da ich hier wirklich zu wenig Blogge, habe ich mich nun dazu entschieden, es ein bisschen leichter für mich zu machen. Heißt: jeden Tag nun eins oder ein paar mehr Bilder, wozu ich dann die Geschichte erzählen kann. Keine Große Sache, aber bessr als nichts und alle können besser auf dem Laufenden gehalten werden.
Da mich persönlich ziemlich unfotogen finde... fangen wir mal mit dem Bild an! :)

Gemacht in der Schule, weil heute der einzige Tag war, an dem ich meine (Nooras) Camera mit zur Schule nehmen konnte, ohne mir einen Bruch an meiner zu schweren Tasche zu heben. Und es war wirklich ein super guter Tag. Ich hatte letzte Nacht das erste mal seit langer Zeit wieder mehr als 6 Stunden schlaf, weil meine Schule ja erst um 10 angefangen hat, hatte nur Französisch, Deutsch und Bio heute, was nicht so schwer ist und nach der Schule war ich dann noch auf einen Kaffe im Coffehouse inklusive einer interessanten Diskussion, was ich wirklich lange nicht mehr hatte. Busfahren musste ich auch nicht allein Heim, da ich noch zufällig ein Mädchen aus meiner Klasse getroffen habe. Nun sitze ich auf der Couch, freue mich aufs Wochenende, aufs Ausschlafen und darüber, dass ich schon fast nur noch Finnisch Zuhause rede.

So in case that I really now that I don't post enough, I decided that I want to post now everyday maybe one or more pictures and tell a little story about them. Makes it a little bit more easy for me to keep everyone up to date. It is defenetely no big thing but anyway better that nothing at all. And because I think that I am really not photogenic, we can start with this picture ;)

It was Taken in school because I could take my camera (or nooras camera) with m today because I hadn't had so much stuff in my bag and it wasn't to heavy for me. And it was actually a really good day. I could sleep longer because school stared at 10 and I finally got more that 6 hours sleep again. In school I just had French, German and Biologie today what isn't really hard and then I was also in Coffehouse with a friend incl. a very interesting discussion that I hadn't had for a way to long time. I also haven't had to go home alone by bus because I met a girl from my grade very suprisingly. And now I sit here on the couch, looking forward to the weekend and sleeping and am happy that I already speak lots of Finnish at home.

... so ein bisschen ohne Schnee



Ich kann hier jetzt auch noch mal ein paar Bilder zeigen, die ich gemacht habe, als ich mich spontan dazu entschlossen habe, mit einer Freundin ein bisschen die Stadt fotografieren zu gehen. Ihr könnt hier dann auch mal was ganz typisches sehen. Also, dass es irgendwie super schnell dunkel wird. Und es eigentlich auch fast die ganze Zeit dunkel ist. Und das wichtigste fehlt immer noch: der Schnee. Alle sagen, dass es mit Schnee nur halb so dunkel wäre, aber wir haben hier einfach keinen Schnee. Aber trotz alle dem genieße ich meine Zeit hier doch sehr. Nur… so ein bisschen Schnee, das wäre schon nett!

Now I can also show some pictures, that I’ve taken, when I and a friend went out with our cameras to take some nice pictures. Heer you can also so something really typical. That it gets dark so fast. And mainly is just dark and stays dark. And the main thing is still missing: the Snow. Everyone says, that everything will be lighter with the snow outside, but we just don’t have it.
But even though I still enjoy being here. Just… a little bit snow that would be so nice!

Und tatsächlich, es ist nun doch schon fast Winter. Und das ist wirklich anders hier, auch wenn es scheinbar der wärmste November war, den es hier je gab. Es ist wirklich ziemlich dunkel, des Öfteren richtig kalt und müde bin ich auch jeden Tag. Es ist nicht so, dass ich nicht genug schlafe, denn selbst wenn ich am Wochenende bis 11 schlafe bin ich immer noch müde und das geht auch den ganzen Tag nicht vorbei. Eigentlich sollte es hier jetzt auch schon Schnee geben, was alles heller und freundlicher machen sollte, aber nichts da, kein Schnee weit und breit.

Indeed, it is almost winter now. And this is really different here, even if we obviously had the warmest November since ever. It is really dark the whole day, often cold and I am also every day so tired. It is not like that that I don’t sleep enough, because I am still the whole day tired when I have slept until 11 in the morning. Actually here should have been snow already too, that makes everything lighter and nicer but no snow yet.

Aber was ich noch zu erzählen habe: meine Gastfamilie und ich sind am Wochenende zum Mökki gefahren. Es war total schön (verdammt kalt am Anfang) und ich habe nach der Sauna in einem total kalten See gebadet (und ich war die Erste im Wasser!) Ja, ich habe gequietscht und bin ganz schnell wieder raus gerannt, und natürlich ging es gleich wieder zurück in die Sauna.

But what else I wanted to tell: on last weekend my host family and I went to Mökki. It was really nice there (damn cold in the beginning) and I was bathing after sauna in a really cold lake ( I was the first one in the water!) Yes, I was kind of screaming and ran out of the water really fast and of course back to sauna.
